Learning outcomes

The course has the following objectives and lecturing outcomes:

  1. To further develop a thorough understanding of corporate external reporting practices;
  2. To further develop the ability to consider the factors which impact on accounting and those on which accounting impacts; and
  3. To develop the ability to analyse financial statements and firms' business.

Course contents

  1. Balance sheets, Income statements and Statements of cash flows.
  2. Ratios for financial statements analysis.
  3. Cash flows analysis.
  4. Economic value added analysis.
  5. Accounting for deferred taxes.
