Learning outcomes
The Course aims to help the student to see and to analyse the main social trends of the modern society in the field of the sport communication. So the student will be more able to better appreciate the social relevance of the communication for the great sport events and for all the activities in the leisure time.
Course contents
The Course of Sociology of the Sport and Communication will teach the main concepts and theories useful to analyse the up-to-date changes which are leading to the “post”-modern society, and the relevance of the communication in all the sport activities and events.
In the course you can distinguish three parts, the following ones:
a) in the general part the Course will present the main sociological theories, which seems to be useful to study the up-to-date changes which are leading to the “post”-modern society.
b) in the monographic part the Course will present the main findings of sociological studies and researches in the communication of the great sport event and activities, as the Olympics, the Paralympics, and the Euro Football Cahampionships (2000-2008).
c) the aim of the seminarial part of the Course is to promote the students' cognitive interests in the field of the sport communication, and to show studies and empirical researches in the sociology field, which be useful to satisfy them. In the midst of the numerous hours of practice (24 h.), which will be spent in the Uni. Rimini's well equiped Laboratories, the student will have many stimula and chances, in order to learn as old and new media communicate the sport events today.

Three books are required at least (the minimum program): two are the common books, the third one is chosen by the student.

Teaching methods
Lectures and case studies introduced by the new technologies of communications.
Assessment methods
Writed exam about 3 books (minimum program) or more books (enlarged program), chosen by the student between the above listed books.
The test will be composed by 30 topics (minimum program) or more - 10 topics for each other book (enlarged program)
Questions and answears will be already written in the test, so that the student will have only to choise the answear(s) which he/she will keep as right.
Time: 1' for each topic, maximum 30' for the minimum program, +10' for each chosen book.

Amount: 40 questions; available time: 40'
or others combinations, too.
You can pass the exam if you'll gain 18 right answears in the test for minimum program, and +6 right answears for each chosen book (enlarged program).
N.B.: Sociology of Sport Communication is a matter of an Integrated Course, so that the achieved vote will go to compose the final vote, as an average of those achieved in the other matters of the same Course.
Be attention, please!
You had to enter your name in the electronic list for the exam within the 5th day before the fixed date (you can have access to the e-list in the Dean of Faculty website, at the url: http://scmot.unibo.it/V2/default.aspx).
You had to be present at minimum to the 70% of the lessons. Presences under this minimum may be integrated by studying a book more than the minimum program (a forth book, chosen between the listed ones). No presence at all don't allow to gain the Uec.s, so that the student cannot be admit to the exam.
