Course contents

Enzyme as reaction catalysts. Enzyme classification: Oxoreductases, Transferases, Hydrolases, Lyases, Lygases, Isomerases. Elements of enzyme kinetic. Selectivity and specificity of enzymatic reactions. Mechanism of enzymatic catalysis, catalytic triads. Enzyme inihibition and elements of kinetic in enzyme inihibition. Enzymes in organic synthesis. Colture cells, whole-cells, isolated enzymes and immobilized enzymes. Advantges and limits in biocatalysis. Enzyme in sustainable chemistry. Biocatalysis and bioconversion.
