Learning outcomes
This course is aimed at promoting an awareness of the organization
of space within a culturally appropriate dimension, seen as human
expression, inseparable from the symbolic construction of any
social formation.
It also intends to present an interpretation, from a historical
perspective, emphasising the epoch-making passage from a
traditional culture, static and enclosed, based on the community
and environmental awareness to the advent of modernity and up to
the the present day culture which is liquid and simultaneous.
.
Course contents
The period of time we are going through seems to be charaterized by a plural logic. There is a broad range of languages and expressions to express the world, cultures that are strictly connected, as such as open windows looking at the world, images that are simultaneously visualized on distant places (and non-places). This course intends to offer, as it follows, some stimulations regarding different points of views and thematics on the antropological landscapes, they reflect this trand, full of contaminations and based on uncertainty, between the conflicting dissonance and the coexistence of different cognitive and expressive styles:
- the landscape as seen like a theatre with its status and roles, the stage and the backstage with actors and an active public, the theatre of nature and the theatre of history,, from the transposition of the cosmic order up to the reflection of the human kind; the civilization of Places in the central Italy with its particular respect to the sharecropping culture: structural aspects and material culture, the family seen as a productive unity, the symbolic universe, times and places tied up sacramentally
