Learning outcomes

The aim of this course is to develop a culture in the pharmacy management area, linked to the basic knowledges, to prepare pharmacists capable to work in the filed of drug dispensing. The student, by achieving this exam, is capable to know the management, the marketing, the personal communication and the pharmacoeconomics allowing a complete capability to manage the pharmaceutical service. This cours is organized into two modules. A module of Acquisition of management skills and a module of Acqusition of communicative skills.

Course contents

Mudule: Acquisition of mamangement skills Prof. F. Cantagalli The aim of the course is to develop a managerial attitude in order to consolidate the basic knowledge and train professional figures capable to operate in drug dispensing. Starting from the novelties in drug production and distribution, we propose to improve the management of a pharmacy, focusing on internal efficiency and money-saving behaviours that lead to an optimization of the profits. This course deals with management, marketing, communication and the economic aspects related in the direction of a pharmacy.

Module: Acquisition of communicative skills Prof. A. Martina 1. Actual meaning of the communication 2. Mature markets and the pharmacist's activity 3. Analysis of the pharmacy as matrix of communication 4. Communication principles that can be applied to the pharmacy 5. Relational indetikit techniques: Analogic identity card; PNL, translational analysis; Katatona's iceberg; Maslow's pyramid. 6. Ergonomics of the pharmacy as communication area. 7. Communication skills with medical doctors, clients and patients. 8. Pharmaceutical services and communication. 9. Communication with older patients. 10. Communication and self-medication for small patologies. 11. Communication and dermocosmesis. 12. methods and supports for communication. 13. Future perspectives for the pharmacy: distribution (GDO), senior care pharmacy, home care. 14. Simulation of an interactive relationship with patients.
