Basic elements of signal characterization and processing with particular reference to communication systems

Course contents

Analysis of signals through the Fourier transform. Linear systems.
Finite energy and finite power signals. Energy and power spectrum.
Baseband analog and digital signals. Signal coding and compression techniques.
