Learning outcomes

In the laste dacades the public sector has been involved in a grat process of change that has brought to the development of a new reserach paradigma: the New Public Management. The course will focus both on theoretical, operative and critical aspects of the public sector transformation. At the end of the cours the students should be able to frame, understand and discuss the recent chage that have recently involved the cultural sector at national and international level in the grater transformation process of the public administration as a whole.
Course contents
Great attention will be given to the experience of several expert and professionals, focusing the attention both on the dinamics of different sectors (local authorities, ealth care, university, ministry), and on specific direction of change (autonomy, role of high management, accounting and control systems). Every will last about 2 hours and 45 minutes (1 hour and 30 presentation, 1 hour discussion).
