Palazzo Paleotti Multi-Media Study Room

The study room at Palazzo Paleotti is the result of the cultural policy adopted by the University of Bologna to support study and research. A privileged access point to the University’s bibliographies, support and training centre, conference hall and place of socialisation.

The rooms at Palazzo Paleotti offer cutting-edge technological facilities in the heart of the city centre.
There are more than 300 internet access workstations, which can be accessed through University credentials, for students of the University of Bologna and University staff. 

The facilities are open also to the users of Sala Borsa who are over 18 years old and have a Library card. However, they will not be able to use the PCs if they do not have University credentials.

You can consult catalogues, databases, digital resources, e-magazines, books, dictionaries, encyclopaedias and other full text resources from any computer connected the the University network.

Workstations are available for short consultations and word processing, as well as places for the blind and visually impaired.

IT Support and Bibliographic Assistance Service

IT support: dedicated personnel provides basic IT support and assistance to use University of Bologna portal. Every day from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Bibliographic assistance: assistance to use SBA services and to consult, use and research On-Line Resources. Users with specific needs may book an appointment with dedicated personnel members.

From Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am till 3:00 pm; Saturdays by appointment only.

Information on access to the study room

Students must show their university card, while Sala Borsa users must show their library card and a valid ID document. Users are only admitted if there are free workstations.

Places are numbered: access is given only if free places are available.
