Surgical device for guiding the resection of bone segments. The device is particularly suitable for use in maxillofacial surgery, and in particular the mandibular and maxillary, for the removal of bony portions possibly preparatory to a subsequent reconstruction.

Operations for bone reconstruction are now practiced in many parts of the body and are often preceded by the removal of damaged or diseased segments of the object just after reconstruction.

The device of the invention is provided with one or more guide elements for resection of a portion of bone, in particular of the jaw, the second cutting surfaces identified in the planning phase of the intervention. The device has a main body retention, preferably in the form of bar, to maintain in connection stakeholders by resection and prevent them from collapsing suffer dislocations - for example due to muscular tension - after the removal. The device also comprises fastening means, in particular perforated plates suitable to lock by means of screws, and recording means for its unique positioning with respect to the body area of the patient. All components are integrated in a same device.

The surgical device integrates in a single structure the functions of cutting guide real and retention - and then stabilization - bony portions of the residual, including providing means for recording specific for the planned positioning of the same device. This allows to increase the accuracy of the intervention, thanks to the fact that it is precisely ensured the correct absolute and relative positioning between the different elements, and in particular between the or cutting guides and the structure of retention and stabilization. The operation is also simple, if you reduce the time and decreases the number of surgical screws (or other locking elements) that must be applied on the body structure. The guide device of the invention can therefore be designed in a personalized way on the specific anatomy of the patient as part of an integrated system designed precisely for resection and subsequent bone reconstruction.
