Online Courses: 100 SIM cards for students with no internet connection

ER.GO has published a call for applications dedicated to students who have no internet connection and are regularly enrolled in A.Y. 2019/2020.

Students who do not have internet connection have until 17 March to request the SIM card offered by ER.GO - Regional Authority for the Right to Higher Education. An initiative organised to allow all students to take part in the online teaching activities organised by the Universities and AFAM Institutes in the Emilia Romagna region, due to the COVID-19 emergency.

There are 100 M2M SIM cards available and they are reserved for students who have no internet connection and are regularly enrolled in A.Y. 2019/2020 at one of the four Universities or at an AFAM Institute in the Emilia Romagna region, deserving of an ER.GO scholarship and/or who have applied for a reduction of tuition fees based on their ISEE for A.Y. 2019/2020.

The SIM cards will allow them to use up to 40G of data per month, which may be topped up to 160G per month, paid by ER.GO, and will be provided together with a data stick (modem). Across the region, SIM cards will be assigned in increasing ISEE order till stocks last, as follows: 56 in Bologna and Romagna, 17 in Parma, 16 in Modena and Reggio Emilia, 11 in Ferrara. Any unclaimed SIM cards in one location will be proportionally made available at the other locations.
