Alma Mater’s Green Office: applications now open

Students enrolled in the academic year 2019/20 and Ph.D. candidates can put in their application for the Green Office until 1 November for the Romagna Green Office and 3 November for GOAL in Bologna.

A new asset in the Sustainable Multicampus Project: in Bologna and in the Romagna campuses, students, professors and technical-administrative staff will be able to discuss about and co-create projects aimed at making the University more sustainable.

From November 2019, the Athenaeum launches GOALs (Green Offices of the Alma Mater), an initiative in the framework of the Sustainable Multicampus project. The aim of GOALs is to raise awareness about sustainable and environmentally friendly behaviours in the Alma Mater community.

Students enrolled in the academic year 2019/20 and Ph.D. candidates can put in their application for the Green Office, following the instructions and deadlines. Applications will be accepted until 1 November for the Romagna Green Office and 3 November for GOAL in Bologna.

Both offices will be composed of 15 staff members:

  • 1 coordinator, engineer Andrea Baschi, director of the Construction and Sustainability Area
  • 8 students
  • 2 professors selected by prof. Riccardo Gulli, Rector Delegate for Construction and Environmental Sustainability
  • 4 technical-administrative staff members chosen by the Green Office coordinator

Alma Mater’s Green Offices aim to be a space of discussion and project planning, where students, professors and staff members will work together to come up with tangible solutions for improving the University’s sustainability.

GOALs Members will meet at least once every two months. Moreover, once projects are put forward, GOAL members are required to be available to follow the project development outside the meetings and after the duration of their mandate (one year – for students).
