The last graduation session of a.y. 2019/2021 has been postponed to June 15, 2021, whereas the deadline for completing all exams has been moved to April 22, 2021. The so-called "Milleproroghe" Decree contained these provisions and a Rectoral Decree is implementing them at our University.

Following up on a proposal by the Student Council, the University asked all departments to share a joint timetable for graduation sessions to avoid delays in students' academic careers during a.y. 2019/2020. In this way, there will be extra time to meet relevant deadlines for those students who had troubles finishing their exams because of the pandemic.

The Board of Governors approved this proposal, then, on February 23, set up a provisional calendar for the last graduation session of a.y. 2019/2020 (initially from May 24 to May 28, 2021).

The above-mentioned calendar has changed and includes the following deadlines: by April 22, students who wish to graduate within a.y. 2019/2020 should complete all exams in their study plan; the deadline for submitting the graduation application is April 12, 2021; by May 10 students need to upload their final dissertation (thesis); supervisors will have time to approve final dissertations until May 17, 2021. This calendar applies to all degree programmes except for the following: degree programmes in the field of healthcare, in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage and those programmes shared with other universities in which the University of Bologna is not the main campus.

The deadline for obtaining the Additional Learning Requirements has also been moved up. It was initially set on March 31 and now is on June 15, 2021. Students will have more time to pass the OFA and avoid enrolling in a.y. 2020/2021 as repeating students. Professors will schedule specific exam sessions so that students can pass both the OFA and the exams in their study plan.

Students who intend to do both (OFA and regular exams) are allowed to ask their professors to set up additional exam sessions for them. Additional and detailed information will be available on the Unibo portal and each degree programme web page.

Lastly, the Rector also ordered an extension of the additional semester of training in anthropology, psychology, and teaching methods and technologies (24 CFU-credits).

The end of the additional semester of a.y. 2019/2020 has been postponed to December 15, 2021 (instead of September 30) for students who, in a.y. 2019/2020, were attending the last year of their single- or second-cycle degree programme at the University of Bologna and applied for the 24 CFU-credit training in a.y. 2019/2020 for the first time.
