International Students: how to prepare for enrolment

Find out about financial aid opportunities, and the steps international students need to take in order to enrol in a Degree in a First, Second or Single Cycle Degree Programme at the University of Bologna.
Find your degree programme and learn about our admission and enrolment process
Consult the list of Degree Programmes to find out which is the right programme for you, and check the admission procedures in the dedicated Degree Programme website. The course catalogues will be updated for A.Y. 2017/18 in May 2017. Some courses open admission procedures at the beginning of 2017; other courses publish calls for applications in July 2017.
Pre-enrol at the Italian Embassy if you are a Non-EU citizen
International students at Unibo
If you are a non-EU citizen living outside Italy, next to complying with the rules and deadlines established by the University of Bologna, you must pre-enrol at the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your country by 21 July 2017 (just for single cycle degree programmes with restricted access at national level: 7 July 2017).
Apply for scholarships and tuition fee waivers
If you are an international student, you can apply for a study grant worth 11.000 € gross, assigned on the basis of the SAT and GRE tests.
