Learning outcomes

M-PSI/05

At the end of the activity students will know: how to apply community psychology methods and principles in the development of a community-based project

M-PSI/08

At the end of the laboratory students will know: how to perform a psychological assessment; clinical methodology applied to clinical cases.

Course contents

The course will take place during the first semester (October-January) for the M-PSI/05 part and during the second semester for the M-PSI/08 part (March-May) at the Cesena Campus of the School of Psychology and Education (address: piazza Aldo Moro, 90 and v.le Europa, 115).

M-PSI/05

The lab will allow students to learn and apply methods and tools of WHO Life Skills Project and use them to write a report about an intervention project of health intervention/promotion in a community-based project

Laboratory includes the following activities:

  • Knowledge of the WHO Life Skills Project
  • Testing Life Skills (emotions governance, empathy, self-consciousness)
  • Planning a community-based project including Life Skills
  • Documentation of the course (group final report)

Psychological assessment: clinical cases and role playing.

Teaching methods

Methods used will be the following: lessons, small group work, guided discussions, role playing, brainstorming, empathy laboratories, final project work.

M-PSI/08

Teaching methods include lessons, clinical case presentations and role playing.

Assessment methods

M-PSI/05

Active participation to the activities proposed during classes and full attendance are essential in order to be admitted to the final examination.

To pass the exam students are required to participate actively and contribute to the final written report that illustrates purposes, tools and methods of a Life Skills Project in a community-based project.

M-PSI/08

Active participation to the laboratory and a written final examination regarding the main topics covered during the laboratory. 

Teaching tools

In order to expand students knowledge of the course contents, additional tools will be provided. Video projector, DVD player, lamp projector, PC.
