- Degree (4-year BA Hons) in Translation (English and Russian) from the Advanced school of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators, University of Bologna at Forlì


Research fields

Audiovisual translation (with special interest in the audience perception of dubbed and subtitled audiovisual texts), humour studies, child language brokering, linguistic and cultural mediation, TV studies.

Since 2003 Chiara Bucaria has taken part in national and international conferences on the above topics.

 

Teaching

At the Department of Interpretation and Translation Chiara Bucaria teaches translation and audiovisual translation both on the first-cycle degree course in Mediazione Linguistica e Interculturale and on the second-cycle degree course in Specialized Translation.
