Since 2017 - Coordinator of the English entrance test for the first-cycle degree course in Mediazione Linguistica Interculturale.

Since 2012 - Co-coordinator of the Laboratorio Permanente di Film and Media Studies (lecture series on film and media studies).
From 2012 to 2015 - Coordinator of the LLP Erasmus international project "AGORA - Transnational Placement Scheme for Translation Students" (https://www.academic-projects.eu/agora).
Since 2007 - Member of the research group "InMedioPueri" (focusing on the cultural and linguistic mediation activity of immigrant children and adolescents) coordinated by Prof. Rachele Antonini.

Audiovisual translation (with special interest in the audience
perception of dubbed and subtitled audiovisual texts), humour
studies, child language brokering, linguistic and cultural
mediation, TV studies.
Since 2003 Chiara Bucaria has taken part in national and international conferences on the above topics.
At the Department of Interpretation and Translation Chiara Bucaria teaches translation and audiovisual translation both on the first-cycle degree course in Mediazione Linguistica e Interculturale and on the second-cycle degree course in Specialized Translation.
