Laurea (First cycle degree/Bachelor - 180 ECTS) in Legal Informatics and IT Law

IT-law operator degree programme graduates will have a specific combining training the traditional basic legal skills with IT skills to govern both technological innovation applied to areas of law and to regulate the introduction of new technologies in the various contexts of the company. Graduates will have adequate interdisciplinary preparation suitable for finding employment in all contexts in which there are technological innovation projects and in which analysis of related legal aspects is necessary or where the legal domain requires computerised automation.

For each credit, students are required to dedicate 50% of the total amount of hours assigned to the course .

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ABILITY:
Graduates:

- will have a solid basic historical-legal cultural preparation to understand the legislative changes and specific knowledge of the principal areas of law;

- will understand the general judicial and extrajudicial rules and procedures in the field of informatics (public, private, criminal law);

- will understand the rules regarding the protection of personal data and security aspects of corporate data systems and public administrations;

- will have an understanding of legal macro and micro economy.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND TO UNDERSTAND:
Graduates:

- will have knowledge of appropriate legal terminology and specific terminological skills which are fundamental to operating in sectorial legal areas;

- will be able to prepare contracts concerning information technology, telematics contracts, licenses for the protection of software and public contracts concerning complex technical specifications;

- will understand the techniques of artificial intelligence applied to the law and will be able to conceive legal knowledge by logical rules;

- will be able to design legislative and jurisprudential databases and elaborate legal electronic documents for their dissemination on the Internet;

- will understand the law relating to computer crime and will be able to apply the legal information technology techniques for preserving the authenticity of computer evidence in the event of computer offences and crimes;

- will have an in-depth theoretical-practical preparation in the IT-law sector.

JUDGEMENT SKILLS

Graduates:

- will be able to independently understand the technological and information phenomena and analyze them in the light of national, European and international regulatory changes;

- will be able to analyze and design IT systems that involve elements of planning, management of databases and Internet control;

- will be able to collect and select data and information to support analysis and to express opinions on specific aspects.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Graduates:

- will have appropriate terminological, legal and data processing knowledge and specific terminological understanding essential to work productively with legal practitioners and IT operators;

- will be able to express content, information and ideas related to their field of study using appropriate forms of communication or formalized methods based on the interlocutors, also in a European Union language other than Italian.

LEARNING SKILLS:

Graduates:

- will be able to apply the learning methods and tools developed to update and elaborate upon the content of the programme, also in professional contexts. The mandatory internship is an extremely useful tool for acting in the working environment with a high degree of autonomy.
