B5822 - Didattica delle scienze - modulo 3 - fisica

Academic Year 2023/2024

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Percorso abilitante in A028 - Matematica e Scienze (cod. 6077)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the students will know the theoretical contents of the disciplinary topics covered; approach some methodologies and operational examples of using the laboratory in physics teaching; build teaching proposals - suitable for school level - by correlating the experiential, experimental, linguistic and mathematical aspects which, in their intertwining, define knowledge in the field of physics.

Course contents

This MODULE is part of a larger course on "Science Teaching" divided into 5 modules, which includes the "SCIENCE TEACHING - MODULE 3 - PHYSICS" module

MODULE 3 - PHYSICS (Dr. Giulia Tasquier) will focus on:

  • The problem of modeling in physics.
  • The role of modeling and visualization in the use of simulations as a teaching tool.
  • More generally, the role of modeling in the teaching/learning process of Physics

Readings/Bibliography

During the course, teaching material is provided via Virtual.

The material consists of slides/presentations, research articles, and work material (sheets for individual work and group work, questionnaires,...).

For further information on the topics of the course, we recommend consulting the following texts:

Besson U. (2015), Didattica della fisica, Carocci.

Teaching methods

Interactive lessons, group work, peer-to-peer, co-planning.

Theoretical parts will address the course content with reference to national and international research articles in physics education.

Laboratory parts will involve conducting didactic experiments for teaching physics at the secondary school level, processing experimental data, and discussing the results.

Experiments will be conducted using a variety of instruments (from "traditional" instruments to modern multimedia and online acquisition techniques), to compare their educational potential.

All lessons will provide ample space for discussion among students and with the teacher on the topics covered.

Assessment methods

The acknowledgment of the course will be provided by means of the verification of the minimum percentage of attendance and the delivery of any exercises requested during the course. The evaluation of the learning of the teaching contents takes place at the same time as the final test for the acquisition of the qualification to teach in the competition class of the training course, provided for by Art. 9 of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 4 August 2023.

Teaching tools

Slides, research material, videos and various types of multimedia material (educational applets, films, material relating to experimentation of educational paths in secondary school classes, ..).
