Course contents
Russian Language and Culture I - Prof. Svetlana Slavkova
The course is dedicated to absolute beginners and aims to provide a theoretical and practical support for the module of Russian language and culture I. The central linguistic concepts for Russian will be contrasted with the corresponding Italian notions in order to enable the better understanding of the following topics:
- Russian phonetics and pronunciation rules: vowel reduction, consonant assimilation (alphabet, letter and sound correspondences);
- lexicographical tools and their use;
- various topics concerning the morphology of the Russian verb (verb tenses and aspect);
- syntax (word order; types of simple sentences; some types of complex sentences; conjunctions).

The language skills and competences acquired during the course are verified in the course of the Language and Culture I. No final votes are envisaged.
