Learning outcomes
The student will learn the pathogenesis of the main neurological diseases, elements of the neurological examination, of diagnostic tools and therapeutic options and the correct approach to different neurological syndromes on the part of the nurse
Course contents
Essential clinical manifestations of neurological diseases: the role of neurological examination.
Dysfunctions of motor system, of sensory system and of coordination system.
The cranial nerves.
The principal diagnostic exams in neurology.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Parkinson disease and other diseases of extrapyramidal system
Acute cerebrovascular diseases.
The lesions of spinal cord.
Cerebellar syndromes.
Demyelinating diseases.
Epilepsy.
