Learning outcomes

By the end of this workshop the student: - knows and deepens the performative, organizational, managerial and artistic-professional aspects related to theatrical disciplines, favoring practical experience;  - knows how to integrate practical experience with historical, theoretical and critical knowledge.

Course contents

The workshop aims to provide the main methodological elements for analyzing live performances: construction and analysis of the sources (materials accompanying the shows, press review, internet sites), visual documentation (photographs and video recordings), essays and other cultural materials useful for investigation.

The 6 CFU workshop consists of 1 module corresponding to 30 hours of teaching.

- Lecture notes and results of classroom exercises.

Attendance is mandatory. It is not possible to take the final exam as non-attending students.

Teaching methods

Introductory lectures, aimed at providing the essential methodological tools. Individual research on one or more performances. Visualization of audiovisual materials and shows. Meetings with artists.

Assessment methods

Attendance and quality of participation. Final written report. Mandatory attendance.

Teaching tools

Video projections, viewing of live shows, meetings with artists.
