Learning outcomes

The course will offer a general knowledge of Cognitive Psychology and the most important cognitive processes.

Course contents

The general aspects of Cognitive Psychology will be addressed. The aim is to provide the student with an historical and thematic overview of the main psychological roots and the most important cognitive processes studied by psychology. In addition, individual cognitive processes will be addressed in more detail. The aim is to reach a general understanding of the topics under consideration and of the main experimental methods employed.

Teaching methods

Lectures with power point presentations. Regular attendance is advisable.

Assessment methods

The final examination consists of a multiple choice test, which has the purpose of verifying both the mastery of the contents learned that the ability to orientate among the main theoretical orientations.

Teaching tools

Some of the most significant scientific articles in the class will be discussed in relation to the subjects of the course.
