Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, students should be able to:

  • understand scientifically the facts and be critically mindful of inclusive education topics

  • know correct conceptual frameworks upon inclusive education
  • critically think and analyse inclusive “good practices”

  • plan inclusive educational activities

  • develop appropriate research actions

Course contents

Inclusive education:

- focus upon social and concrete barriers, not on individual deficits

- concerns transforming structures and organisations, not answering individual issues

- is about values and the right to be involved in everyday social life

- is a developing approach and not a static one, comprising knowledge sharing

- goes far beyond a ‘special educational needs’ approach, so refers to all
