Learning outcomes
At the end of the laboratory students know the most important ICT; they are able to use ICT to find, assess, produce, present and exchange information and to communicate and participate to collaborative networks on Internet; they can analyze and evaluate critically tools and technologies for teaching and learning; they are able to use ICT for critical thinking, creativity and innovation; they are able to use ICT to design, document, monitor and assess activities.
Course contents
Erasmus students can contact the teacher to get more information: labs are in Italian, so it is fundamental to have at least a level A2 in Italian. Each lab is 24 hours and you must attend all lectures (only 25% of absence).
You can find timetable of each lab online at the calendar for the 4 year of the degree course Primary Teacher Education.
On Almaesami you can register for a single lab (or ask the teacher how to do it).
LABORATORIO 1 Michael Lodi
Informatica creativa (Creative Computer Science) (Michael Lodi, ldomhl@gmail.com )
The lab proposes the use of computer technology in an active way, as an instrument for expressing your creativity and for developing computational thinking.
Students will learn the basic concepts of computer programming through Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu/), a free and open visual language, especially suitable for children and young people, but also for those approaching Programming for the first time. This language will also be compared with those of other platforms (eg http://www.programmailfuturo.it/, proposed by MIUR, The Italian Ministry of Education).
Students will create simple video games and interactive animations, experimenting, collaborating and reflecting on their learning process, in order to then use the knowledge and skills acquired in the educational contexts they will be working on. Particular attention will be given to the analysis and experimentation of methodologies and technological tools to support teaching, and to the reflection on the motivational and evaluation aspects of Computer Science at school.
No prior knowledge of computer programming is required.
LABORATORIO 2 Mariapaola Cirelli
L'utilizzo efficace della LIM Gruppo 1 (The effective uso of Interactive Whiteboard Group 1) (Mariapaola Cirelli, mpaola.cirelli@gmail.com )
The lab will concentrate on the effective use of interactive whiteboard during: - interactive and frontal lectures; - preparation of didactic routines didattiche with Notebook's files as "interactive notebook"; - preparation of projects in small and big group; - use of specific educational websites for the different school subjects.
LABORATORIO 3 Elena Marcato
Le tecnologie al servizio della didattica attiva: Lavagna Interattiva Multimediale (LIM), strumenti di condivisione in Rete, piattaforme di e-learning, software dedicati e nuovi ambienti di apprendimento Gruppo 1 (Active learning with ICTs: interactive whiteboard, online sharing tools, e-learning platforms, softwares and new learning environments Group 1) (Elena Marcato, marcato.elena@alice.it )
The lab aims at introducing (with concrete examples) the use of interactive whiteboard as daily tool in the classroom for an active, innovative and cooperative learning. The use of several languages can guarantee access to learning and to an inclusive environment: in particular, cloud computing (Google Apps, Prezi) and open source tools (such as Cmaps, Libre Office) will be explored as tools that the teacher can use everyday with his/her students.
LABORATORIO 4 Tiziana Passarini (the lab will be at Cineteca di Bologna, via Riva di Reno 72)
Il cinema d'animazione a scuola (Animation cinema at school)(Tiziana Passarini, t.passarini@libero.it )
Animation cinema is a language of great communicative strength and of strong emotional impact. It can therefore be used efficiently in educational at various levels: viewing animated short movies, optical games to understand the movement of images and ultimately the realization of a small cartoon. We will experience these activities, focusing mainly on the production of a small animated film with the use of simple digital instruments.
LABORATORIO 5 Mariapaola Cirelli
L'utilizzo efficace della LIM Gruppo 2 (The effective uso of Interactive Whiteboard Group 2) (Mariapaola Cirelli, mpaola.cirelli@gmail.com )
The lab will concentrate on the effective use of interactive whiteboard during: - interactive and frontal lectures; - preparation of didactic routines didattiche with Notebook's files as "interactive notebook"; - preparation of projects in small and big group; - use of specific educational websites for the different school subjects.
LABORATORIO 6 Elena Marcato
Le tecnologie al servizio della didattica attiva: Lavagna Interattiva Multimediale (LIM), strumenti di condivisione in Rete, piattaforme di e-learning, software dedicati e nuovi ambienti di apprendimento Gruppo 2 (Active learning with ICTs: interactive whiteboard, online sharing tools, e-learning platforms, softwares and new learning environments Group 2) (Elena Marcato, marcato.elena@alice.it )

LABORATORIO 7 Enrico Angelo Emili
Disturbi specifici di apprendimento (DSA): le tecnologie per l’autonomia e per una didattica inclusiva (Specific Learning Disorders: technologies for autonomy and inclusive education (Enrico Angelo Emili, enricoangelo.emili@unibo.it)
The lab will address the following points:
-Specific Learning Disorders (DSAs): theoretical considerations, reference norms and resources on national territory.
-Software / open source software (free of charge) and commercial.
-Strategies for Inclusive Education.
-Readability / usability of texts and teaching materials. From text to mental / conceptual map.
-Custom Teaching Plan.
-Exercises.
From the second meeting it is advisable to have a laptop computer (preferably Microsoft) for the possible installation of the open source programs presented.
LABORATORIO 8 Alessandro Soriani
Il laboratorio didattico di media education: storytelling e stopmotion (Media education laboratory: storytelling and stopmotion) (Alessandro Soriani, alessandro.soriani2@unibo.it )
The lab includes exploration of the major expression channels mediated by technology: image, audio and digital videos. In addition to the use of tools for editing images and audio files, the participants will produce a stop-motion video narrative. It is recommended that you hold a laptop (or tablet) and a device that can take pictures / movies.Readings/Bibliography
The teacher of your lab will give you recommended reading and other contents to study.
Teaching methods
This is a laboratory with practical exercises to be done during lectures and at home. It is recommended to follow the instructions of the teacher in order to obtain the "idoneità" (final evaluation).
Assessment methods
Specific assessment can be agreed with the teacher of your lab. This Laboratory does not have grade, but "idoneità" (pass/fail evaluation).
Teaching tools
Lectures are usually in the computer lab with pc and interactive
whiteboard.
