Learning outcomes

The aim of this course is to provide the theorical tools useful to think, prepare and manage criminological projects.

Course contents

Firstly, the course will highlight the role of victim that finds expression in a complex dynamics composed by different phases. 

Secondly, we will focus on the role of life history and of psychodiagnosis in criminology. 

Next, we will study young people and the impact of the Internet on deviant behavior.   

Finally,we will analyse problems related to the penitentiary system.

Frontal lessons and class discussions.

Assessment methods

The final exam aims to verify the achievement of the following goals:

1) acquire skills in order to think, prepare and manage criminological projects;

2) the ability to use tools to project operating models to prevent and fights against crime.

 

For not attendees students, the exam consists in an oral interview at the end of the course.

For attendees students there will be two written exams composed of two open questions on the topics analyzed during lessons (exam duration: 1hrs30). 

 

It is forbidden to use books, notes and electronic appliances during the written exams.
