Course contents
The module of SPECIALISED INTERPRETING – ENGLISH is part of the general course INTERPRETING BETWEEN ENGLISH AND ITALIAN II (C. I.) with English as the A language and of INTERPRETING FROM ENGLISH INTO ITALIAN II (C. I.) with English as the B language. The module of 48 hours, which focuses on one major topic and is bidirectional (involving interpreting both from and into English), will be held in the second semester. The course aims at improving both the theoretical and practical skills in interpreting applied to the macro field of law, with particular reference to migration.

Teaching methods
Exercises both in and outside of the interpreting booth, using audio and visual files of authentic speeches regarding the topic in question to develop interpreting techniques and knowledge of the topic.
Assessment methods
The module of Specialised Interpreting does not involve a separate examination. The checking of the knowledge and skills acquired will be carried out as part of the examination involving the different modules of conference interpreting in English, French, Spanish, German and Russian II (language A/language B), with the final mark an average of the mark obtained in the different modules.
Teaching tools
Paper, audio and visual support, with all the material used in class made available on the e-learning platform Moodle, together with other material to be used for further practice and/or to obtain background information
