Learning outcomes
The student addresses the basic issues of Simultaneous Engineering and CAx and PLM systems that support it, with particular attention to the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and necessary practices for the management and the complete development of a complex product.
Course contents
The course will cover issues related to the articulated design and advanced engineering of a motorized vehicle. In details:
1) product development process.
2) Guidelines and tools in the definition of a new model.
3) Designing the vehicle components.
4) Simulation and FEM technology production motorcycle components.
5) Vehicle Dynamics I:
- Basic concepts and geometries
- Suspensions
- Tires
- Data acquisitions interpretation
6) Vehicle Dynamics II
7) Ways of vibrating fundamental vehicle and their measurement
8) of the vehicle control electronic Strategies
9) multibody simulation and related experiments
10) Guidelines and tools in the definition of a motorcycle racing (MotoGP).
