Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student: acquires the fundamental bases to study and understand political phenomena; is able to fully comprehend issues and concept in a comparative perspective; is able to use the methods of political analysis and to deal with research problems beyond a simple introduction.
Course contents
The main objective of the course of political science is to offer students the essential tools to understand and analyze politics and institutions. The main topics are parties, parliaments, governments, political participation, political communication, democracies, authoritarian and totalitarian regimes. Special attention is devoted to the methodological aspects of the political science.

Written text with multiple choice questions and open-ended questions.
Students WHO ATTEND CLASSES may take a midterm exam
and a final exam at the end of the course. Both the midterm and the
final will be weighted 50% of the grade. Both grades should be
equal or more than 18/30,
To be have access to the midterm and final exams students have to be enrolled as FREQUENTANTI in a list that will be made available during the first TWO weeks of classes. If not enrolled in the list, students cannot take the midterm.
