69745 - Translation for Publishing Purposes from Spanish into Italian

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students will know the strategies, the techniques, the use of  traditional and advanced translating instruments and will be able to apply them to different sorts of translations.  Students will apply these strategies – with reference to Spanish and Italian – complying with specific translational tasks.

Course contents

The course aims to expand the students'linguistic knowledge and translational skills so that they can be autonomous and professional when faced with specialized texts in the publishing area.

Teaching methods

As the course is tutorial, students are required active participation in the activities proposed during the lessons. Students' attendance and autonomy will be taken into consideration in the final marking.

Assessment methods

Students will have to translate a text similar to one of those already covered during the lessons.
