Readings/Bibliography

A collection of questions (partially answered) can be found at my webpage: http://www2.dse.unibo.it/pietra/micro/ESERCIZI%20MICRO-CLEA.pdf.

Teaching methods

There are 60 hours of classes and several hours of recitations. They will be devoted to the solution of some problem sets. There will be a mid term-exam (date: TBA).

Assessment methods

There are two different possible procedures:  a. You take the midterm exam and then you take the final in one of the two dates scheduled right after the end of classes (June-July). Both are 3 hours exams.   b. You just take one 3 hours exam in one of the regular dates.  In both cases, the exam is structured in two parts: 21 multiple choice questions and several open questions covering theoretical topics and numerical problems. Examples of both kinds of questions are available at http://www2.dse.unibo.it/pietra/Microclea.html. To enter, use username=password=uniboclef.  In special cases, I will request an oral exam. This has to be taken right after the written exam. It can increase or decrease your grade in the written exam. If you pass the exam (grade 18 or higher), I will register your grade and you will not be allowed to take the exam again.  To take the exam, you must register via Almaesami. No exceptions will be granted.
