Learning outcomes
After completing this module the student will know the methodology and standard clinical pathway for major surgical diseases, through direct observation of clinical cases accompanied by side tests considered necessary for the diagnosis, is able to recognize the main surgical pathologies, formulate a prognosis and therapy.
Course contents
The course content include the main pathologies of: the digestive system, the respiratoty system, the orthopaedic and neurological systems, the auditory system, the ocular system. The topics will regard the small animal (dog and cat) and large animals (bovine and horse).Frontal and pratical lessons are included. Frontal lessons provide for the Student the knowledge of each surgical case. In addition pratical lessons are carried out on clinical cases referred to the Veterinary Hospital. the Students can perform the clinical examination, be engaged in the diagnostic and surgical managment.
