Learning outcomes

This course gives students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the main theoretical models employed in industrial economics and to apply them to the analysis of real world situations. In particular they will be able to: - analyse managerial decisions dealing with entry, entry deterrence, price discrimination, advertising, product differentiation, etc.

Course contents

An introduction to the theory of the firm; Monopoly and Regulation; Oligopoly competition; Price discrimination; Product differentiation; Advertising; Entry; Industrial and competition policy.
