Learning outcomes

The student should be able to make use of traditional and modern advanced strategies, techniques, methods and instrumentation for the translation of various genres, including here formally written texts of an economic nature and write clearly in English, observing the conventions of the genre(s) dealt with

from here on apologies for any possible errors of either typing, or missing pieces given that, in trying to publish everything in 2 languages, an error message was received of an incomprehensible variety

Course contents

Translation towards English classes 1 and 2 with course leaders Derek Boothman and Chris Dennis (with there not being a rigid separation of the two between classes - see timetable)

Translation of economic text(s) in Italian dealing with the aspects of the current situation (Dennis).
Translation of medical publications dealing with tumours (Boothman); advice where necessary will be given by the head of a university pathology laboratory and experts in other relevant fields.

at the end of the module examination in room with computers; 350 words relevant to coursework
