Assessment methods

Fifteen multiple choices contributing 2 marks each to the final evaluation. At the end of each question, students are expected to write 1-2 lines explaining their choice. Selecting a wrong answer, selecting several answers, selecting no answer as well as the absence of an explanatory line yield 0 marks. However, the evaluation of a correct answer may be downgraded to 1 or even to 0 if the explanatory line makes clear that the correct answer was chosen out of faulty reasoning. Likewise, the evaluation of a wrong answer may be upgraded to 1 or even 2 if the explanatory line makes clear that a wrong answer was chosen out of an interesting reasoning.
This procedure yields an evaluation between 0 and 30. To this value, a 2 are added. If the resulting mark exceeds 30, honor is granted. The questionaire must be filled in 1 hour.
