Learning outcomes
Students, during the lessons, will be learning acquaintance, using a psychoanalytic approach, on the main topics concerning the meaning of the trauma for people and their family. Through activities and practices, during which different modalities of psychotherapeutic support will be brought to light and discussed, students will get also acquaintances about techniques of psychodynamic assessment.
Course contents
1 – Traumatic event: Posttraumatic stress disorder 2 – Defensive strategies: trauma and memory 3 – Short and long time effects of the trauma and of the traumatic distress on the emotional and social/working functionings. 4- Multimethod Assessment 5– Psychotherapeutic supports for people and their family. 6- Clinical work with neurological patients

The course, from the didactic point of view, will concern: - frontal lessons about the psychological processing of traumatic experience and the treatment of traumatic memories -practices/activities, by reading and discussing clinical cases and detailed anamnesis, considering a neuropsychoanalitic model-

Assessment methods Examination:written test. Thewritten test will has to verify students' knowledge about the theoretical-clinical aspects of post-traumatic desorders andthe competence in analysing clinical cases
