Knowledge of modern etiopathogenetic hypotheses on glaucomatous optic neuropathy, the instrumental and address current and future therapeutic
Course contents
Anatomy of vasculature of the head of the Optical Nerve and structure of the lamina cribrosa. Mechanical hypothesis of neuropathy. Vascular hypothesis of neuropathy. Hypothesis of immune neuropathy. Imaging techniques for early diagnosis of optic neuropathy. Medical, parasurgical and surgical therapy.
