Learning outcomes

At the end of the seminar the student is able to know and to explain the processes of phonological, morphological, syntactic and lexical kind, concerning the classic languages, examined in the field of the structures and of the evolution of the indoeuropean languages.

Course contents

The programme proposes the approach, led by the teacher, to books concerning the linguistic change and the causes of this, which may be considered linguistic universals.

Assessment methods

The seminar does not contemplate written examinations. Often the teacher verifies the value of the methods and of the learning by means of conversations with the students and by means of questions asked him by the students during the lectures.
