Course contents

The first part of the class (30 hrs - 6 cfu) is devoted to the teaching of Biblical Hebrew.
Grammar and syntax.

The second part of the class is devoted to the hisory of Jewish culture from the biblical period to contemporary Israel. Emphasis will be given to the cultural prouction in Hebrew through the centuries, even though Jews have spoken and written a number of languages other than Hebrew.
Students of the Master programme are expected to read and present a book listed in the bibliography every week (on wesnesday).
