Learning outcomes
The students at the end of the course are expected to
- know in deep tools and methods for empirical research in education;
- write an educational plan;
- apply monitoring tools to educational contexts;
- analyse and assess, through suited methods and procedures, educational plans' processes and results;
- analyse evaluation monitoring data in order to outline planning hypothesis and improve educational paths;
- report research data related to predefined hypothesis and problems;
- know and use tools for acquiring information and to assess formative system
Course contents
The course is addressed to second year students in Formazione al lavoro e alle professioni (Voctional training) in order to achieve knowledge about:
- aims, methods and tools of empirical research in education;
- planning steps and strategies for educational processes
- educational processes planning, implementation, monitoring and assessment.
- elements and tools for educational processes evaluation;
- research data analysis, related to qualitative and quantitative characteristics.

Lessons and group work.
Assessment methods
The examination consist in a written test with closed answer items and four short essays. The test will be corrected by giving one point for each right answer and deducting 0,25 points for each wrong one. The examination is passed with the 55% of the total theoric full score.
