It is this class objective to introduce to the students the neurophysiology of consciousness. The peculiar methods for investigating scientifically the theoretical basis of consciousness and the most suited experimental approach will be addressed. Students of this class are supposed to become familiar with the basic neurophysiological mechanisms of consciousness and with the best experimental methods to investigate the consciousness itself. This class is required in order to attend Prof. Cirignotta's class "Pathology of consciouness and vigiliance"
