Learning outcomes

The student will acquire the knowledges about pathologies and basic aetiopathogenetic processes of main surgical diseases useful to the development  of subsequent clinical trial with the aim to complete the diagnosis, therapy and prognosis.

Course contents

Surgical diseases; general concepts regarding etiopathogenesis; congenital and acquired diseases. The inflammatory process; the “restitutio ad integrum”; the regeneration. The healing of soft and hard tissues, of cartilages, of tendons and nerves. The pathological healing and the pathologic heal. The fundamental pathological processes of  tissues, organs and systems. The more important surgical diseases of systems.

Teaching methods

The student disposes of an handbook with all programme subjects. Teacher during lectures exposes subjects in a wide and complete way; allows questions about explanations, deepenings and student may write on the same handbook personal notes. On the end of the chapters of the handbook are noted the questions that teacher will propose during the evaluation.

During laboratories the subjects just developed will be proposed again to students as questions.
