Learning outcomes

The course intends to provide students with general knowledge on molecular biology and on biotechnologies of agriculture, environmental and agroindustrial relevant microorganisms.

Course contents

Molecular biology of Agrobacterium and its vectors.Molecular mechanisms of  resistance to herbicides.Microbial insecticides.Biotechnology of nif and nod genes.Biological control of pathogenic agents.Bioremedation:general principles and its applications.Biotechnology of xenobiotics  and biopolimers.
