Learning outcomes

Knowledge of the main factors determining the coastal areas changes and of the spatial planning role in improving natural and human environment.

Ability in relating to other courses contents in order to deepen the knowledge state and manage politics and plans for land transformations at urban and wide area scale.

Course contents

Critical analysis of the topics relating to land knowledge in the territorial context  which has been identified thanks to the well-established disciplinary contributions in the coastal areas reading under many profiles (spatial, social, demographical, economic, landscape, environmental, etc.).

Setting out of the knowledge increasingly acquired aiming at the design of a land transformation strategy, paying attention to the different requirements (from identity to sustainability) and to the implementation of the strategy in structural choices (functional, morphological, etc.) with particular attention to transport networks.
