Course contents

The notion of Lasnguage will be examined with the target of illustrating what is a language, how it is structured and how it changes in the course of time. Then the various componet of a language will be studied, in patrticular: phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Attention will payed to the social stratification of language. Dictionaries and web resources for the study of linguistics will be illustrted.
