Learning outcomes

Knowledge of some of some contemporary views on philosophy and on philosophy of language.

Course contents

The class has a main point of reference On Certainty by Ludwig Wittgenstein.  But we'll start from some pages by Plato, Pyrrho, descartes, Hume and Kant.  As a main introduction to Wittgesntein own stand we will examin two famous papers by George E. Moore, who closely insprired On Certainty.
