Students enrolled for first or second cycle or single cycle degree programmes who become parents during the academic year (period from 1 September to 31 August of the following year) are exempted from the payment of tuition fees, on condition that they enrolled for that academic year and have an ISEE of not more than €40,000.
If both parents are enrolled at the University of Bologna, only one of the two will be exempt.
The exemption is obtained by sending by e-mail to the student administration office the self-certification form confirming birth of the child and the ISEE certificate valid for benefits under the right to Higher Education.
The University will carry out the necessary checks and, if the outcome is positive, the entitled student will be reimbursed for any tuition fees already paid.
The enrolment fee in these cases is €157.04.
