Course contents

The course is focused on the processes of collective writing and on the dialogue between word and image in the performance composition. The course will host the artistic director of Cantieri Meticci, Pietro Floridia, who will illustrate the work made around "The Nigger of the Narcissus" by Joseph Conrad, for the homonymous production by Cantieri Meticci in 2019. The play between diegesis and mimesis, thought and writing, that characterized that production will be renovated in class by eliciting students to produce their own narrations. Some of them will be selected for the installation that will be presented publicly at the end of the course. Other participants from Cantieri Meticci will join in, as the illustrator and scenographer Sara Pour.
