Academic Year 2021/2022

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: First cycle degree programme (L) in Neurophysiopathology techniques (cod. 8482)

Learning outcomes

Acquires the knowledge and the ability to understand the clinical aspects of the diagnostic method of electromyography (EMG) and other related methods.

Course contents

The teaching program is focused on the clinical use of EMG with particular regard to common neurological pathologies. The usefulness and clinical information obtainable through EMG will then be analyzed in polyneuropathies, motor neuron pathologies, radiculopathies, myopathies and neuromuscular junction disorders.

This teaching will thus allow to deepen the clinical knowledge related to EMG in order to understand its use in neurological clinical practice.
