Learning outcomes
Importance and role of time in geological processes. Understanding of the history of our planet as a dynamic system where interactions between geosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere act at different time scale. At the end of the course, the student is expected to know the History of the Earth along the geological time, as well as to be able to understand the utility of chronostratighapic units, and the historical reasons that lead to their development and definition as time correlation tools at global scale.
