Learning outcomes
The student acquires in-depth knowledge on the methods and instruments necessary for the selection of the carriers, connection, power transmission machinery and mechanical structures, plates, shells and pressure vessels. The student has the opportunity to deepen the nonlinear behavior and not isotropic of engineering materials and be introduced to the finite element modeling.
Course contents

Design of Machine Elements
Teaching methods
During the lessons the problems realted to the design process of machine elements will be deeple stressed. In the practical lessons they will be applied to typical elements.
Assessment methods
Discussion of the Matlab scripts assigned during the course.
The student must be able to work on the scripts and to comment the results in a proper way.
