Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the stedent will be able to understand how organizations and their members are reciprocally influenced.

The course faces theories and methods related to the main organizational problems, through concepts like motivation, organizational behavior, decision, communication, influence, conflict, and cooperation. The analisys of the relationship between identities and organization will contribute to complete the student leaning process.

The book for this course is the following: R. Kreitner & A. Kinicki, "Comportamento organizzativo. Dalla teoria all'esperienza". Apogeo, 2013.

Teaching methods

The course is highly interactive and is based on a variety of case studies, video material, role playing games, group presentations, and the reproduction of fundamental experiments on social sciences

Assessment methods

Students' evaluation aims to assess the degree of knowledge and skills developed through this course.

The evaluation will be based on a written test (15 multiple choice questions, to be answered in 45 minutes) with the goal to verify students' knowledge and analytical skills. The result of this test will result in a mark expressed in thirtieths.

Class attendance will facilitate the development of critical thinking, however the knowledge assessment will rely on the text book only.

Tools and books or papers of any kind are not allowed during the test.

In order to participate to the test, students are requested to register on Almaesami (https://almaesami.unibo.it/) according with the rules of the School.

Students attending class:

Students attending classes will be allowed to present a team project (to be preliminary approved by the teacher) based on empira data and focused on a specific issue or case. Teams will be made of 5-6 students. 

Learning evaluation will rely on:

- a written test as previously described (60% of the final grade)

- the presentation of the project work to the class (40%) that will be evaluated by the teacher (with the potential collaboration of other faculties)

Students that will sign in to develop a team project are required to participate to all the team activities and to the final presentation.
